About Dave

Hi, I'm Dave and I have been a CPA for over 40 years and have worked as an IT manager, hospital controller, CPA, consultant to foreign governments, and as an accounting educator.  I have a lot of experience and I love to use that experience to help small businesses thrive. Like most CPAs I have a degree in accounting, but I also earned MBA and PhD degrees in accounting and finance.  

My practice is limited to bookkeeping, payroll, small business consulting, and tax preparation and tax planning. I don't perform audits, reviews, or other expensive services offered by many CPA firms and this means that I can offer my services to you at a substantial discount.

I was born in Colorado in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, attended college in Washington State, and now call Virginia home. My wonderful wife, Heidi, and I have three sons, all college graduates, and in the little spare time that we have, we enjoy traveling, bike riding, kayaking and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

In addition to English I speak fluent, technical Spanish. When we meet you can ask me why.
